Don’t Let Skeletons In Your Financial Closet Stop Your Refinance Plans! Here’s Why.

January 28, 2008

financial skeletonsAre you looking to refinance with bad credit and beginning to wonder if is just a dream – one that can be realized by a select few who have been anointed as credit worthy by the gods?

You can probably get the validation – and loan approval – you’re looking for if you find the right to partner with.

By now you’re probably aware of the provocative come-ons by some mortgage brokers claiming they can help you refinance with bad credit, only to have your hopes dashed when the deal gets to tough for them.

What can you do to get the mortgage financing you need and keep more of your hard-earned money?
I’ve got good news for you – it can probably happen a lot sooner than you think.  If you’ve got fresh skeletons in your financial closet, you can bury some of them by paying or catching up on any unpaid bills on your credit report.

If your skeletons are of the slow or late-pay variety you can help offset the damage they can do you by telling your mortgage broker about them when you apply for your refinance or home equity loan.  He shouldn’t bury them in your backyard, but he might be able to put clothes on them and at least make them more presentable.

The best thing you can do to help yourself refinance with bad credit is to find a good mortgage broker.  Someone who has experience in working with bad credit situations and offers lots of free options for you, such as not charging you fees for appraisals and other up-front fees.  You really don’t need to pay a loan processing fee either.

Above all else, keep moving forward by paying your bills on-time and shopping around for the perfect mortgage broker – one who can help you refinance with bad credit, lower your payments and help guarantee that you won’t have any more fresh skeletons in your closet.
